Storing, archiving and retrieving employee related documents are tasks beyond most HR departments. It is a resource heavy, laborious and time-consuming activity. It is also not their core function. Employee records and documents, however, are important to the wellbeing and proper functioning of the company.

AuthBridge conducted a survey to find out just how robust were the documentation, collation and retrieval systems of companies. Our audit revealed that 80 percent of the companies we studied did not have proper processes in place. Their employee files were not up to date and the accuracy unreliable. Many companies that professed to have processes were found to have incomplete records.
